How to Properly Light Paintings
The Artwork you purchase through us responds tremendously
when light is applied properly. We recommend lighting from your ceiling
at a 45 degree angle. Your goal is to create a spray of light which
for the most part stays within the frame so as to keep the focus of
attention on the painting. 60 watt halagen spot lights are recommended
for 31/2 to 6 feet from the center of your painting. More or less can
be applied according to your personal preferences. Portrait lights,
up-lights, lamps or any exterior light at an angle will enhance the
beauty of your piece. Be careful not to apply direct or head-on lighting.
Also, always be careful how much heat is applied. Canvas
or print should not be hot to the touch.
